Colletes simulans is a species in the family Colletidae ("cellophane or plasterer, masked, and fork-tongued bees"), in the order Hymenoptera ("ants, bees, wasps and sawflies"). The species is known generally as the spine-shouldered cellophane bee. It is found in North America.
