Teff (Amharic: ጤፍ), also known as Eragrostis tef, Williams lovegrass, or annual bunch grass, is an annual species of lovegrass native to Ethiopia, where it originated in the Ethiopian Highlands. It is cultivated for its edible seeds, also known as teff, being one of the earliest plants domesticated. It is one of Ethiopia's most important staple crops.
